ADVOCACY
ON CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEES

EVERYDAY ADVOCACY-
KEY ROLES FOR FCCPTA LEADERSHIP

FCCPTA is recognized as the premier local parent advocacy group in education.  We are afforded seats on School Board Citizen Advisory Committees outlined below because of our reputation in engaging, empowering, connecting and advocating for all families.

Advisory Committee members on the FCCPTA Executive Board serve because of their expertise and passion in their focus areas. The committee work extends well beyond the public meetings and they are part of the collaborative team that creates the end of the year report presented to the School Board. Having a seat at the table is important, and FCCPTA makes sure families are represented and heard alongside other stakeholders.

In addition to our active roles on these committee, FCCPTA encourages families to learn more about the opportunities to speak before these groups. This is an very targeted and effective way for families to engage in advocacy. Public comment opportunities are included in the information below about the committees on which we serve.
