Awards Committee: Develop, implement, and oversee the various awards programs for local PTAs, leaders, and students. These include but not limited to Scholarships, Spelling Bee, Volunteer of the year. Serves on the FCCPTA Executive Board. If interested in representing the FCCPTA as Awards Chair. Budget Committee: Monitor and analyze FCPS Budget; bring recommendations to the Executive Board for action; assist local units in formulating position on the FCPS budget and the County Fiscal Plan; encourage local units to testify at public hearings on the FCPS budget and the County Fiscal Plan. Facilities Committee: Monitor FCPS facilities planning and the Capital improvement Plan (CIP); assist local units to have an appropriate voice in the formation of their school's facility needs and their position on the CIP; encourages local units to make their positions know to the School Board and the Board of Supervisors. Special Education Committee: Chairs the FCCPTA Special Education Committee; promotes communication between parents of students in Special Education; monitors FCPS Special Education Programs and FCPS actions; works to achieve Council objectives regarding Special Education; provide training to local unit Special Education Representatives; and provide updates to FCCPTA on Special Education issues. Reflections Cluster Coordinators: Reflections program is divided into eight clusters. Each cluster coordinator is responsible for collecting, judging, recognizing, and returning of student works and forwards Outstanding Interpretation winners to the FCCPTA for advancement to next level of program.
