FCCPTA is proud to release its materials for its first ever Advocacy Day event scheduled for December 4 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM at the Gatehouse Administration Center located at 8115 Gatehouse Road in Falls Church.  Here is the finalized agenda – FCCPTAAdDayFinalAgenda. These are resources that can be used during and after the event going forward for advocacy purposes concerning various issues of interest.

Event videos to be shown:

This event is designed for PTA members to meet, engage, and build relationships with their local elected officials and discuss various education-related issues, including the 2018-2019 school year calendar, education funding, small class sizes, school safety, school nutrition, etc.  This is a great opportunity for PTA members to tell their stories to their local elected officials about how their schools, students, and communities are doing and tell them what is needed to keep their schools and communities strong and their students on track towards college- and career-readiness.

It is not too late to register for this FREE event!  If not a PTA member, no problem!  Anyone can join their local neighborhood school PTA whether they are a non-parent, business leader, senior citizen, or veteran.  If you are concerned about your community and having a strong school in your community, get and stay engaged!  Joining is easy and cheap.  Find your local neighborhood school PTA, find their PTA website on the internet, and join on-line.

FCCPTA working for YOU!
